LEGAL NOTICE - WESTFIELD FIRE DISTRICT
Legal Notice is hereby given to the taxpayersof the Westfield Fire District, in the City of Middletown, that the Fire Taxbased on the October 1, 2024 Grand List for Real Estate, Personal Propertybecomes due and payable in full on July 1, 2025. If taxes are not paid in full by August 1, 2025,they will become delinquent and subject to interest at the rate of 1.5 % permonth from the due date of the tax (a minimum interest charge is $2.00 perassessed property/vehicle), as well as other collection costs.
Payments may be made by mail; postmarked by August1, 2025, or paid in person at the Office of the Tax Collector at 653 EastStreet, Middletown, CT 06457. A “Drop-Box” is also available outside theWestfield Tax Office. Payments can alsobe made online at mytaxbill.net/westfieldfire There is a convenience fee if you choose thispayment option. Credit card paymentscannot be made in the office.

Failure to receive a tax bill does not relievethe taxpayer of his/her responsibility for the payment of taxes or delinquentcharges. C.G.S. Sec. 12-30.
If a receipt is required, please include theentire bill and a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
If “BACK TAXES ALSO DUE” appears on yourbill, please contact our office for the total balance due. CASH or MONEY ORDER is required for anovernight DMV clearance. Online paymentsmay take up to ten (10) days to clear DMV’s system. Registration compliance issues can be verifiedvia the CT DMV website: CT.GOV/DMV.
