At 11:30 pm Westfield Tower 6 along with the City Of Middletown Engine 1 were dispatched to the Town of Cromwell for a reported building fire. First due crews were met with a well involved basement fire extending into the first floor. Tower 6 crew was initally assigned as the Rapid Intervention Team but was quickly put to work with a 3rd hose line to the rear of the building to assist with exstinguishment. While Tower 6 was on the fire scene Engine 2 was relocated to the Court St fire staion to cover the town of Cromwell while the 2nd alarm companies handled other calls in the town all an all Westfield was on scene in Cromwell for 6 Hrs. Good job done by all lastnight in the extreme cold
